God is Faithful

God is Faithful

“I’m sorry, Bro. Dan. The biopsy test result from the lump taken from your wife’s breast shows she has a Malignant Tumor…”

The world stood still for us at that moment when in 2002, my wife was diagnosed of having breast cancer. We had practically nothing to finance the six (6) cycles of Chemotherapy advised by the doctor for my wife to take. I prayed hard, cried hard, worked hard and hoped against hope that my wife would be healed. On March 19, 2007 – my 23rd Spiritual Birthday – my wife for 16 years gave up her spirit and went to be with the Lord.

Along with the departure of our loved ones go all the burdens, all the heartaches, all the worries and cares that slowed us down in progressing in the Kingdom of God.

This experience brought me to 2 Samuel 12:16-25 where David prayed and pleaded with the Lord for his child to be healed but when the child died, he moved on and did not resent.

I remember one time when I whispered to the Lord if He still wills for me to have another wife, I’d love to have someone from the countryside who’s not brought up in the city…and He did. In January 2010, I married this beautiful woman named Claire, from the south. She was 20 years younger than me. We are now blessed with 2 kids, and another one coming this September!

Let us keep in our hearts that God is always faithful and true! He has always been! Even if we prayed hard for something – a job, a business opportunity, an office promotion, or even healing for a sick loved one, come what may, God is faithful of His plans for us!

God wanted us to be fruitful. He wanted us to prosper because we are to reflect His glory. Because we are called to share His work to others, we are called to let His Kingdom come down here on earth as it is in heaven.

We are living in the Last Days and God doesn’t want us to carry anything that would slow us down. Let us “work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15). So that many would still come to know the Lord before He returns! Let us leave the things that happened in the past because they tend to slow us down.

Let us pray more, share more and love more! As the Lord provides, we are to move forward. There will be efforts of the enemies to slow us down but even if we stumble and eventually fall, we must continue to move on!

With this, I would like to leave you with one of my life verses:

Jeremiah 29:11 – For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
