Satan is a fallen angel and leader of a massive rebellion against God for which he was eternally banished from Heaven (Ezekiel 28:12-15). Satan has many names in the Bible, in literature, and in folklore. In Scripture he is called destroyer, old dragon, evil one, god of this world, adversary, Belial, Beelzebub, tempter, wicked one, roaring lion, Lucifer (son of the morning), prince of the power of the air, and the serpent.
Satan and his demon minions are enemies of God, man, and all God’s creation. The devil and his servants will spend eternity in the Lake of Fire (Rev. 25:41).
