Pentecost

« Back to Glossary Index

In Judaism, this holy day, 50 days after Passover, celebrates the harvest of first fruits and Moses receiving the Law of God – the Torah – at Mount Sinai. Christians remember Pentecost as the day the Holy Spirit filled the Apostles with the power to speak in tongues, perform miracles, and preach the Gospel to the world.
