Bloom Where You’re Planted

Bloom Where You’re Planted

“You, however, know all about my teaching, my way of life, my purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance…” (2 Tim. 3:10)

The phrase, “Bloom where you’re planted” is one of those empty idioms, but it sounds spiritual, so people repeat it. When God created you, He made you on purpose and with a purpose. You are not an accident. The details of your birth may seem random, but God has an eternal purpose for you; prepared before the foundations of the earth.

Whatever you do today, do it on purpose. This devotional is written with a purpose; I want you to grow in the Lord. I’m living out my calling by writing it. God gave me the skills and desire to care for people, so I’m using them to write for Him and not just for the newspaper. I can do both (I do), but I feel most fulfilled when I follow God’s eternal plan for my life.

What is your purpose? Are you a singer? Sing. An actress? Perform. A soldier? Protect. Are you a builder? Build.

Watchmen have an individual calling and purpose unlike any other. You are bound to people. There is no need for a Watchman if there are no people to watch. Watchmen don’t squint into the spiritual darkness and evil End Times calamity for plants and animals. It’s always for people.

A Watchwoman’s purpose is connected to people. Jesus came “to seek and to save every lost person.”(Luke 19:10)

Father God, I purpose today to live exactly as You intended. I will honor You by living out my purpose.
